Methodology
The Tyndall Petition was started by Climatepedia to bring transparency to the consensus of climate change. The goal of the Tyndall Petition is to bridge the gap between the general public and the academic community.
The project lists individual signatory profiles of hundreds of climate experts across the United States. All signatories agree that climate change is real, humans are causing it, and we need to act now to mitigate its effects. Signatories hold a PhD or work in a highly specialized field. Most conduct research in fields directly related to climate change including chemistry, law, and economics. New signatories are identified based on their research institution, scientific publications, or referrals from other signatories.
Please use the Tyndall Petition as a tool for climate action, education, and collaboration.
