Past Programs and Initiatives

Climatepedia’s Legacy of Knowledge-to-Action

Climatepedia was originally established as a university-based climate education initiative focused on climate literacy, professional development, and public engagement. Over time, Climatepedia supported a range of educational programs, collaborative projects, research activities, and community initiatives involving students, professionals, volunteers, and partner organizations.

While Climatepedia now operates as an independent climate risk, adaptation, resilience, and nature-based solutions advisory practice, these past initiatives helped shape the organization’s development and continue to inform its commitment to knowledge sharing and capacity building.

 Former STAFF and Contributors

Climatepedia’s educational programs, research initiatives, and community engagement efforts were supported by a diverse group of staff, volunteers, interns, advisors, and collaborators. The individuals recognized below contributed to Climatepedia’s development during earlier phases of the organization’s history and helped advance its mission of promoting climate knowledge, professional development, and climate action.

Climatepedia’s flagship Certificate Program, Tyndall Petition, and informational web tools would not have been possible without the contributions of longtime leadership members, dedicated staff, facilitators affiliated with Columbia University’s Master of Climate and Society Program, and Climatepedia chapter members at the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of California, Irvine. Their efforts helped establish the foundation upon which Climatepedia continues to build today.
